Just wanted to thank you for another fantastic Big Band Jam experience. My students and I had a wonderful time participating this year. The feedback from the clinicians was spot on and very helpful. Thank you for having this great program.

Dear Harry,

I wanted to thank you for your generous, highly professional and all together wonderfully done hosting program for the Thelma Yalin Jazz Ensemble during their visit last week.
I had the pleasure of accompanying them part-time and experience firsthand the great responds they have received along with their own satisfaction and happiness.
They also had the honor of meeting our Ambassador at the reception on Thursday evening, and I have no doubt as to the impact and the importance of this week for them and their school.
I hope we’ll have the pleasure of working with you again in the future,

Hi Harry,

Thank you so much for hosting our band for yet another year of the Blues Alley Big Band JAM. It’s become a highly anticipated tradition. It’s hard to take our community group “on the road” but it feels like a road trip for us. Plus, we don’t make it into D.C. as often as we should. The advice from Scott and Pete was very valuable. Thank you for supporting the mission of our college to provide access to quality education to all people.

Hi Harry,

It was a pleasure having the chaperones and students from Thelma Yellin School of the Arts at Harriet’s and The Harrington. They were very easy to get along with. They are very talented musicians and nice kids.

Hi Harry,

Thank you again for putting on such a wonderful event on Monday and for inviting me to be a part of it. It was a real pleasure and an honor to sit at the table with such a distinguished group of people representing many of the most significant arts organizations in the region.

Thank you again and I am looking forward to a follow up event at some point in the future, as well as to the Big Band Jam this Saturday!

While visiting DC today, taking a bike ride, I followed the sound of live music to Pershing Park and enjoyed the 2 groups so much! The weather was cool and dreary, but the music by these talented young kids (and teachers) was warm and wonderful. Thanks so much for sharing your gift!

Hi Harry:

I want to thank both Blues Alley Jazz Society and the Washington DC Federation of Musicians for supporting this year’s JAM piano series at the National Museum of American History. It was a great success and hope that we can do this again next year.

I would like to echo all that Mika said. Your activities last month and dedication to moving the art form “Jazz” forward through young musicians is commendable. Thank you for all you do!
